Tables and tickets available now for the Remarkable Women Awards

Costa Mesa, Calif. (January 16, 2020)—The National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County Chapter (NAWBO-OC) will host its Annual Remarkable Women Awards on March 10, 2020 at 1pm at Fête the Venue in Costa Mesa during Women’s History Month. 

In commemoration of the centennial of women’s suffrage, the event will highlight milestones of economic opportunity for women and celebrates the women entrepreneurs that are making history today.

NAWBO-OC’s Remarkable Women Awards, which will be emceed by Scharrell Jackson, founder and CEO of Leadership in Heels, is a luncheon and will offer live entertainment, networking, and an awards show.

Tickets ($150 for general admission, table sponsorships starting at $1,250) can be purchased at www.nawbooc.biz/remarkable-women. All proceeds from the event directly fund programs that support and strengthen women’s entrepreneurship in Orange County.

The Remarkable Women Awards will recognize the achievements of Orange County women business owners in several categories, including:

  • Lifetime Achievement – This woman has been a majority shareholder in one or more businesses for more than 15 years. She has exceptional business skills, is a mentor to women business owners, and gives back to the community in meaningful ways.
  • Woman Business Owner of the Year – This woman has been a majority shareholder in her business for at least five years. She has strong business skills and is involved in the community.
  • Entrepreneur to Watch – Her business is less than five years old. She demonstrates remarkable growth and/or innovation and/or aims to solve a critical problem facing our society.
  • Women in Business Advocate of the Year – This person or nonprofit organization is an outstanding advocate for women entrepreneurs and their efforts have resulted in progress for women entrepreneurs locally, nationally, or globally.

Nominees will be announced on February 14, 2020 and featured across NAWBO-OC’s media channels. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony March 10, with the exception of the Lifetime Achievement Award winner, which will be announced February 14, 2020.

The event will take place at Fête the Venue, 3101 Red Hill Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
