NAWBO OC started the 2018-19 year with an inspiring and invigorating keynote address from Dr. Tererai Trent.
Dr Trent, often billed as “Oprah’s all-time favorite guest”, is an author of the book “The Awakened Women”. In her talks around the world, Dr Trent offers a vision of an enpowered sisterhood between all women and girls, encouraging them to band together to accomplish their dreams.
When President Katie Adams Farrell saw Dr. Trent speak at NAWBO National’s annual event, she was inspired by to create the theme for the 2018-19 year: We are Here.
“I was so envigorated by Dr. Trent and I wanted to bring that inspiration and grounding to the women in my NAWBO chapter,” Adams Farrell said.
The event attracted women entrepreneurs from all over Orange County, including a record number of non-members.
