Biz Training – What Does Tax Reform Mean for Your Business?

This workshop will provide a practical overview on how to read and evaluate financial statements and an overview of the implications of tax reform for small and emerging businesses.

This workshop is presented in partnership with Ernst & Young.

Presenters:

Mary Garrett, Partner, has over 19 years of financial, accounting, and operations experience. During her career with EY she has worked with public, private and emerging companies on a variety of transactions, including IPOs, tax exempt offerings, debt offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Mary is the partner in charge of resources and recruiting in Orange County and Chair of the Orange County EY Professional Women’s Network. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors in Accounting. She is a CPA in California and a member of the AICPA.

Chris MacLaughlin, Tax Senior Manager, is the Tax Account Leader in EY’s Irvine Office. He has over twelve years of diverse tax advisory experience serving businesses in a variety of industries with a focus on tax accounting and reporting. Chris holds a B.S. in accounting from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver. Chris is a CPA and is a member of hte AICPA and California Society of CPAs.
